The Social Butterfly & The Hermit Crab

My husband casually proclaimed the other day: “I have eaten at four hundred different places in Karachi”

me: “Is that four hundred locations or unique names?”

him: “four hundred unique names, so if you’ve been to seven different McDonald’s it only counts as one”

me: “well you’re a social butterfly, I don’t go out much, I doubt I’ve been to even a hundred places”

him: “well try making a list I’m sure you’ve been to more”

And well he was right, hermit crab that I am (I think I should send it to the Oxford English Dictionary as the official antonym for social butterfly) I have been to at least two hundred and fifty places. I made the list using foursquare so obviously my time in UAE before I switched to a smartphone is not covered. There are places I remember going to, but I don’t recall their name, and I don’t always check in. I will give myself a 10% margin of forgetfulness (so twenty five missing entries). Here goes:
